ANDREW BUILDS THE SURFER.
Cape Town. 44 years in the ocean. Andrew grew up dyslexic in a school system that had one way of doing things and no patience for a boy who learned differently. When he became a coach, he made himself one promise: never coach a single person the way he was taught.
In 2016 he was a senior coach inside one of the biggest names in luxury surf travel. The travel was five star. The coaching was an afterthought. He left after a few months.
AndLeo is what he built instead: teaching surfers how to think in the water, not just how to perform.
ELE BUILDS THE EXPERIENCE.
Before surfing, Eleonora ran a restaurant, a beach club and a small hotel on the Italian coast. Hospitality is her first language. She writes about Maldivian culture for the inflight magazine of Trans Maldivian Airways, and at AndLeo she designs everything that happens around the water: the pacing, the food, the people, the feeling of being looked after from the first email to the last morning.
She is still learning to surf herself. Ask her what a first paddle-out feels like. She remembers.

The Wave Language Method
Surfing is 80 percent awareness. The ocean never holds still, and the surfers who keep progressing are reading it: where to sit, which wave to take, and why.
Most surfers absorb that by accident, over decades. Andrew spent six months turning 44 years of instinct into a language with a dictionary, so an adult can learn it in months instead. Everything AndLeo does is built on it, from the trips to the online courses.
Almost nobody coaches wave reading. Andrew built the first program that teaches it.
