During this trip, you will travel throughout the Central Atolls guided by us, two insiders who have lived and traveled the Maldives extensively, and we will surf famous spots like Chickens and Cokes, and other off the beaten tracks surf spots.
But we are going to enjoy in full all what the gorgeous Maldives islands have to offer, not just surfing.
We have a masseuse on board and non surfers can enjoy massages on the top deck, for a week of relaxation.
Early-Intermediate to advanced surfers will have the option to surf daily (even twice a day weather permitting) at different locations, thanks to the Dhoni boat that will take them to the various surf spot.
We will visit local islands, sandbanks, experience the real Maldivian culture and try local foods.
We will surf uncrowded waves and wake up to a sunrise on the Indian Ocean.
We will swim with fish and manta rays, it will be like snorkelling in an aquarium.
We will celebrate our adventures with a barbecue on a deserted island, grilling the fish we caught together, looking at the stars.
This experience is for intermediate surfers and advanced surfers, but non-surfers can enjoy as well, as this is a multi activity trip.
The crew on board Myna, the locally built luxurious Maldivian cruiser, will look after us and accompany us in the different activities.
Rooms are spacious and cozy, and the top deck provides a lovely area for relaxing and sunbathing.

ABOUT MYNA, OUR FLOATING RESORT :
The Myna is 42m in length and can accommodate up to 16 guests.
Its high functionality and service oriented professional crew will grant you the vacation you deserve.
4 decks are kept in high maintenance for your leisure with a total of 8 cabins.
The main deck offers a spacious and air-conditioned communal area, with internal dining room, a comfy Livingroom with a flat-screen TV, and audio equipment, and an adjacent bar, alcohol-equipped.
A total of 4 open spaces are located at the nose & Beam, on the main and upper decks for you to relax, enjoy a good book, or fish. At the top of the Myna, you will find a spacious open sun-deck, equipped with sun beds and a jacuzzi, the perfect place for your morning yoga routines or after surf relaxation.
WHO WE ARE
We are Andrew and Eleonora, and we are the people behind Andrew Goodman Surf Coaching.
With nearly 40 years of surfing experience, to say that surfing is in Andrew's blood is an understatement. Andrew has developed skills that allows him to read a surf break to pin-point accuracy, within just a few moments.
Eleonora is a Maldives expert and freelance writer for Trans Maldivian Airways inflight Magazine.
Eleonora has also been creating experiences for people for the past 15 years, and she has deep knowledge about the Maldivian culture and history.

Surfing is available for independent surfers.
In order to join this trip as a surfer you need to be able get to your feet, paddle in and catch your own waves (without needing to be pushed into a wave by a coach).
All packages include all meals and all activities listed above.

We have traveled The Maldives for many many years. You won't waste time searching for the best spots as we've already done it for you. We will bring you to the most incredible places in the north Male atoll.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT AIRPORT DO I NEED TO FLY INTO?
You'll need to fly into MLE, Male International Airport/Velana.
WHERE WILL WE MEET AND AT WHAT TIME ?
We will pick you up in the arrival hall of Male airport, in front of the Dhiraagu shop (local phone line shop), between 12 (noon) and 3 pm.
When booking your flight, please make sure it lands before 10 am. You will need approximately 2 hours to clear customs and pick your bags/surfboards.
If your flight lands at 7 or 8 am, there are a few cafes in the same arrival hall where you can relax, have breakfast and wait for your pick up. There is also a pharmacy, a convenience store, a souvenir shop, a drug store, a Burger King and 2 local SIM card shops, called Dhiraagu and Ooredoo.
WHAT TIME IS CHECK OUT?
Before 11 am.
If your flight is in the early morning, you will be dropped off at the airport in time to catch any flight after 8 am.
If your flight is in the evening, you can hop on a short ride to go from the airport (where we will drop you off) to Male city, and visit the beautiful local market, have lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants, and do some sightseeing.
Or, you can book a day visit at the airport hotel in Hulumale, that has a nice beach and a pool.
If you'd like to visit a resort, Kurumba and Bandos offer from time to time a daily access pass for resort visit. These are 2 lovely resorts located 10 minutes speed boat ride from the airport.
DO WE STAY AT AN HOTEL OR ON THE BOAT THE WHOLE 7 NIGHTS?
This trip is a cruise on board MYNA, a 42 meters vessel.
We will sleep and have all our meals on the boat, for the entire trip.
We will leave the boat to visit deserted islands, surf breaks and sand banks.
A dinghi, or small boat, will transport us in shallower water to reach surf spots, snorkelling points and islands.
DO I NEED TO BE AN ADVANCED SURFER IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE ?
To join as a surfer, it is necessary that you are an independent surfer : you need to be able to stand up on your board consistently, paddle in and catch your own waves, without needing to be pushed into a wave by a coach. You are also able to duck-dive or turtle-roll.
If you don't surf at all, you will enjoy the spa treatments and all the activities and excursions planned.
IS SURFING AND THE OTHER EXPERIENCES GUARANTEED ?
We can control many things, but we can't control the weather or the wildlife.
When we surf, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature, who decides when to create perfect waves.
Therefore we cannot guarantee surfing, but we will definitely go look for waves all around the North and South Male Atoll and the famous surf spots like Cokes and Ninjas, as well as less known spots. Other activities are also subject to weather conditions, and in case of adverse weather conditions the captain has the right to change the schedule of what's planned.
IS THERE A LOCAL SURF GUIDE ON BOARD ?
Yes, there will be a local and experienced Maldivian surf guide who will bring us to the best waves of the North Male Atoll.
ARE THERE SURF BOARDS FOR ME TO USE?
Surf board rental is not included. We recommend you bring your own board as rentals in Maldives are not the easiest thing, there isn't much availability, but on request we can organise a rental of both soft tops and hard boards (short and long boards).
I AM NOT A BEGINNER BUT WOULD STILL LIKE TO IMPROVE MY SURFING, IS THIS AN OPTION FOR ME ?
Absolutely. The Video Analysis with feedback from Andrew will definitely improve your surfing, as well as the live, in-the-water coaching.
I DON'T SURF, WILL I HAVE FUN IN THIS EXPERIENCE?

Surfing is only one of the gems that make this experience unique.
You can book the SPA package so you can enjoy massages while the rest of the group is surfing.
Also. We will visit sand banks, reefs, outer reefs (thilas).
We will snorkel, fish with the traditional maldivian line fishing, and visit a local island.
There is so much to do aside from surfing!
